Working Together
As a therapist, I specialize in working with adult individuals struggling through life transitions, depression and anxiety, addictions, bipolar, and more. I enjoy working with people from a variety of cultures and backgrounds. My work for many years has been with people with mood and anxiety disorders, addiction and compulsive behaviors: addressing symptoms and exploring underlying causes. Whether it's your relationship with food, the internet, a substance or yourself, I believe that who we are forms in relationship, and so healing comes through (the therapeutic) relationship.
Integrating Christian spirituality and psychology is my passion, though I welcome anyone from any background. I employ a psychodynamic-informed approach with most of my clients, however, utilizing many cognitive-behavioral techniques and principles also is within my expertise.
Having lived in the Middle East for 6 years, traveled to over 20 countries (in Africa, Europe & Asia) and being in a cross-cultural marriage, I enjoy working with people from other cultures.
Other areas of experience include: providing CE training to other mental health professionals in religious and spiritual competency, treatment of addiction, and psychodynamic theory and practice, and providing consultation and leadership training to multinational corporations.
